Men have to prove their masculinity in order to be accepted by their peers,  and proving sexual virility helps in getting this acceptance. This is why men find it difficult to accept “no” as an answer. Therefore when men face rejection, they might spread rumours and ruin someone’s reputation as revenge.This response might inflict harm on someone's mental health and have dire consequences in their lives.
